GIMP

Free graphics software called GIMP is available here.  Its User Manual may need to be downloaded separately.

GIMP also has online help with a table of contents, but this is not directly searchable!  You can save a bookmark in your browser for a search engine URL that includes a restriction to gimp.org, such as http://www.google.co.uk/#q=site:gimp.org.  All you have to do is type a search term and a space in front of "site:gimp.org" in the search box.
